Rainy Creek Soft Hackles
This is just a standard platform customized to my preferences in materials. I like peacock herl for bodies, twisted with supporting materials for durability, blended squirrel/hare’s ear dubbing, or indestructible vinyl d-ribbing. Soft hackles are my go-to dropper flies, and are always effective on the swing. These are tied standard with glass bead heads, which I find to be the perfect weight for a dropper suspended below a dry fly.
